How AFCO 5:20 handles your information.

The short version

AFCO 5:20 asks for as little as possible. You can read every page here without telling the ministry anything about yourself. If you send a message, ask for support, invite AFCO to your community, or give a gift, you choose what to share. Nothing on this website is sold, rented, or used for advertising.

Information you choose to send

Four forms on this website ask for information, and each asks only for what it needs.

• The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number and message.
• The Request Support form asks for your name, whichever single contact method you prefer, and what kind of help you are looking for.
• The invitation form asks for your name, your church or organization, your email address and phone number, what you would like AFCO to be part of, your city, a preferred date and how flexible it is, roughly how many people you expect, and anything else you want to add.
• The giving form asks for your name and email address so a gift can be recorded.

None of these forms asks for your age or date of birth. The forms do not ask for a diagnosis, medical records, or detailed health information. A person requesting support may still choose to share sensitive personal information in their own words, which is why the Request Support form asks you to include only what AFCO 5:20 needs to respond.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, this one is delivered by a hosting provider, and that provider automatically records technical information about each request: the address of the page asked for, the date and time, whether it was delivered successfully, the browser used, and the visitor's IP address. It is used to keep the website running and to protect it from abuse, and AFCO 5:20 does not use it to work out who any individual visitor is.

How your information is used

What you send is used to answer you, to arrange what you asked about, and to keep an accurate record of gifts. It is not used to build a profile of you, it is not sold or rented, and it is not used for advertising.

Online giving

Card and bank details are entered into a payment area controlled by Stripe, the payment processor, and are handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy. AFCO 5:20 does not receive or store complete card or bank account numbers. Stripe also records its own technical information about a payment, including the giver's IP address and device, and uses it to detect fraud. What AFCO 5:20 receives is the information needed to recognise and thank a giver and to keep the gift record: a name, an email address, the amount, the date, and whether the payment succeeded.

Monthly gifts

A monthly gift is managed through Stripe's own secure customer page, which is where a giver updates a card, changes an amount, or stops the gift. AFCO 5:20 does not run a separate account or password system for giving, so there is nothing extra to sign up for and nothing extra to remember.

Support requests

The Request Support form exists so someone can start a conversation with the ministry. It is not an emergency service, a medical service, a legal service, or a counselling service, and it is not monitored around the clock. If someone is in danger or needs urgent help, please contact emergency services or a crisis line rather than waiting for a reply here.

Who else is involved

Running a website means other organizations are involved in parts of it. The hosting provider delivers the pages. Stripe handles payments. An email service carries messages sent from the forms. Each of these handles only what its part of the work needs, and each operates under its own terms and privacy policy.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies, and there is nothing here to agree to or dismiss. If that ever changes, this page is updated before the change goes live.

How long information is kept

Records are kept only as long as they are needed for the purpose they were given for, and for giving records, as long as required for the ministry's accounts.

Keeping information safe

The website is served over an encrypted connection, payment details go directly to Stripe rather than through AFCO 5:20, and access to what people send is limited to those who need it to reply. No website can promise that information is completely secure, and this page does not make that promise.

Children

This website is written for a general audience of adults: people looking for help, people thinking about giving, and churches and organizations thinking about working with AFCO 5:20. AFCO 5:20 does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website.

Your choices

You can use this website without sending anything. If you have sent something and would like to know what AFCO 5:20 holds, or would like it corrected or removed, please get in touch and the ministry will do what it reasonably can.

Some pages link to other organizations. Those websites are run by other people, and this page does not describe what they do with information. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this website.
